Workshop: How To Handle A Dragon

How To Handle A Dragon!

This Was A Half-term Drama Workshop At The Belgrade Around the play The Night Queen

Wednesday 1st June & Thursday 2nd June 3:45pm – 5:15pm

£2 with The Night Queen show ticket (£4/£6)

Budding actors aged 6 and above took part in a drama and drama games workshop around The Night Queen play.

They met the actors from The Night Queen, found out about their characters and said hello to their puppet friends.

They used drama to explore questions like:

What might a parent & child argue about at home?

What would you do if you met The Night Queen?

They brought to life the sounds and movements of the mysterious forest and created their own forest creatures.

And just exactly how would you handle a dragon?

Using drama, improvisation and fun games to discover the world of The Night Queen the sessions proved very popular and great fun as well as being perfect as an introduction to the play or as a follow-up session.

No drama experience was necessary and the sessions were open to all abilities and backgrounds. Some adults chose to leave their children, others to stay.

See Philip’s blog for his take on the sessions.
