As part of the Encounters With The Night Queen project the children thought about what Pamina and Popinjay might find in the forest.
There were scary creatures, such as bats and beetles.
You could feel them around you, as well as glimpse them as they weaved in and out of the trees and bushes.
There were fascinating creatures, such as the dragonflies; these danced and shimmered and charmed you as you watched them.
There was also the owl – one of the original creatures from Philip’s playscript – who was wonderfully played by Andy Hockley and who generated lots of laughter from the children and the adults.
And, of course, hidden by the cloudy sky, the moon and stars, watching and waiting for her moment, is The Night Queen.
